It’s been a busy two weeks since our members elected the new committee and it has been a very busy two weeks indeed!
Our new Committee was installed at the Annual General Meeting held in Melbourne on 19th August 2017, and are now as follows:
President – Paul Bostock
Vice President – Troy Bass
Secretary – Tass Sgardelis
Treasurer – John Tzimas
General Committee Members – Andrew Crossman, Danie Tregonning, Timothy Soltys and Sharleen Wright.
You can read all about the individual members now on our Committee page; they are a diverse team representing a great number of States and Territories, as well as abilities, ages and passions.
As previously reported on Facebook, Jordan Busic was originally elected as Secretary at the AGM, and resigned shortly thereafter due to personal reasons, but we are happy to report that Tass Sgardelis (originally elected as General Committee Member) has agreed to take on the role of Secretary for the remainder of this committee’s tenure.
This leaves a vacancy for a general committee member which will be dealt with in the coming months once the committee has had time to settle and review its needs.
Additionally, with a new Committee comes a full review of sub-committees.
In the Committees’ first meeting they determined the make-up of the Social & Digital Media sub-committee, with the appointment of Danie as the coordinator, assisted by Tass and Tim. Along with this comes a new focus on the Twitter account (twitter.com/ESCFAN_Club) and also the formation of a new Instagram account for us to share fan photos (will full credits to photographers of course).
All the remaining subcommittees will be reviewed at future committee meetings, but please let us know if you would like to help out in any way by flinging us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
In other news about the first fortnight of office, each committee member has contributed to a 12 month planning document which includes a number of amazing ideas to improve our club and provide more services and events to our members. We are now planning for events in October to coincide with our proposed ticket ballot and some movement has commenced on proposed events in the ACT.
And as a way of giving members more of an understanding of what goes into the ESCFAN operation and demonstrate the work done, Committee has now agreed to give monthly updates through our website and Facebook.
