Eurovision All Stars 2 has highlighted the highs and the lows of Eurovision during the 90's, and with the voting for 17 countries now completed, we are ready for the All Stars 2 1st Semi-Final!!!
Err...with 18 songs. ???
Way back in June, Norway was the first country up for the vote, and we tried to do things a little differently with the scoring. Actually, difference in voting actually resembled actual Eurovision, but the outcome wasn't greatly received, and yes, the outcome for the winner changed going back to the old, simpler system. As the winner had already been announced, we let them stay in, but we have also let the winner of the vote, had it been left as it was from the first season, qualify as well. So, that's why we have TWO Norwegian entries, and why we will never be radical again...ha ha! As for getting into the Grand Final, both songs will be counted for the overall Norwegian score, and if Norway score as one of the Top Ten, ONLY the highest scoring song of the two will advance to the Grand Final.
Between 10-20 OGAE Australia members have voted each week on the selected country, with a best and worst performance during the decade for that country recorded as advancing to the semi-final, and so here we are, ready to decide the ten best, and the ten worst songs that will make their way to the Eurovision All Stars 2 Grand Final. How exciting!
VOTING: The voting procedure for the 1st semi-final will be the same as "at home" voting for Eurovision - you have 20 votes in hand to distribute however you want. You may give all 20 of your votes to a single song, or a few each to a selection of songs. Fill out the voting form below, and ensure your totals do not go over 20 votes.
Here are the 18 songs that have been voted as the best of each country for the Eurovision All Stars 2 - 1st Semi-Final:
Of course, with every "best" performance voted for, there's also a "worst", so for those who are brave enough to venture to the other end of the spectrum, we also have a vote to decide the 10 WORST songs to advance into the Eurovision All Stars 2 "Worst Of" 1st Semi-Final. Voting is the same as the "best of" section in that you have 20 votes to spread across the 17 songs. To be clear, you are giving your votes to the worst songs, so if you actually like any from the following list, then DO OT vote for it.
Here are the 17 songs that have been voted as the worst of each country:
