Pull-Up Banner Design Contest

Thank you for your interest in participating in our Pull-Up Banner Design Contest! We are providing this unique opportunity to show off your creative flair and in supporting OGAE Australia’s work in promoting Eurovision across Australia and beyond.

In short, we are looking for a design that best represents the club’s values in a sharp and eye-catching way. The entries will be reviewed by the OGAE Australia committee, with the selected entry being used as our primary pull-up banner for OGAE Australia events in the coming years.

  • Printable area: 841mm x 2055 mm

  • Viewable area: 841mm x 2000 mm

  • Colour mode: CMYK

  • Resolution: 300 dpi

We are looking for a design which best reflects OGAE Australia’s purposes, which are:

  • to promote interest in, and awareness and appreciation of, the Eurovision Song Contest and its associated events in Australia;

  • to support Australian-based fans of the Eurovision Song Contest and its associated events by providing a means of organising, communication and interaction;

  • to support worldwide fans of any Australian role within the Eurovision Song Contest and its associated events;

  • in conjunction with domestic and international partner organisations, to create a global network that enables cross-national communication.

Terms and Conditions of Contest:

Background

  1. The OGAE Australia Pull-Up Banner Contest (the Contest) is a competition of skill organised by ESCFAN Inc, trading as the Eurovision Song Contest Fans of Australia or OGAE Australia.

  2. Only members of OGAE Australia are entitled to enter the Contest.

  3. The Contest opens upon publication of the Contest through ESCFAN Inc’s relevant communication channels, namely the ESCFAN - OGAE Australia Facebook group, and closes at 5pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time, Monday 3 March 2025.

Rules

  1. Applicants for the Contest must:

    • Submit a graphic design that complies with the printable area, viewable area, colour mode, resolution and file type specifications outlined above, and

    • Submit the graphic design on or before the end date of the Contest.

  2. Entries for the Contest must:

    • include the logo of ESCFAN Inc

    • not cause offence, harm, intimidation, or bring ESCFAN Inc into disrepute, and

    • not cause breaches of Australian laws or advertising codes

  3. The committee of ESCFAN Inc will review and select one (1) winner of the contest.

  4. The committee of ESCFAN Inc will select the winner based on the following non-exhaustive factors:

    • Creative promotion of ESCFAN Inc

    • Ease of readability

    • Practical and long-term use for ESCFAN Inc events

  5. The winner of the contest will be contacted by the committee of ESCFAN Inc within one (1) week of the end date of the contest. Following the contacting of the winner, the winning design will be made public at the 2025 Preview Parties being hosted by ESCFAN Inc through its use at the events.

  6. The winning applicant will also receive one (1) complementary pass to any 2025 Preview Party event of their choosing.

Conditions

  1. By entering the contest, you agree to:

    • comply with the rules of ESCFAN Inc

    • comply with the rules of the Contest

    • transfer all intellectual property rights relating to the designs created to ESCFAN Inc

    • allow ESCFAN Inc to publish your name and state/territory of residence on the final banner and in promotional material if you are the winner of the Contest.

    • allow ESCFAN Inc to use your submitted entry for any subsequent materials created by ESCFAN Inc.
