KEITH FARRELL (VIC) – ORDINARY COMMITTEE MEMBER

Hi, I’m Keith Farrell!

Born and raised in Ireland, I grew up watching Eurovision during Ireland’s golden era of the 1990s—when winning was practically a national pastime. My fondest memories involve being glued to the TV, soaking in the music, the madness, and, of course, the legendary quips of Sir Terry Wogan. (Though these days, waiting until song 9 feels like an Olympic-level challenge… if you know, you know!)

In 2006, I swapped the rolling green hills of Ireland for Australia the land of dreaming skies, boundless plains, and Eurovision at sunrise!!  I’ve been watching in the early hours down under ever since—because what’s a little sleep deprivation when music history is being made?

After stumbling upon this amazing fan club, I became a proud member of OGAE Australia in March 2023, finally finding my people—fellow Eurovision tragics who understand the importance of a good key change, a well-timed wind machine or a man in a hamster wheel!

Music has always been a big part of my life, leading me to a career in live music and events before I transitioned into project management (where I now specialise in time and cost management—because much like Eurovision, timing is everything).

Outside of Eurovision season, you’ll find me exploring Australia in my trusty 4x4, attempting to ski without injury, creating some delicious food to share with friends or dabbling in one of my other hobbies.

I’m looking forward to sharing the Eurovision love with you all— because in the end, Eurovision reminds us that the world is just one big, glittering stage … and life is better with a pyro cue and a confetti cannon!
