Junior Eurovision 2021 Review - France: Enzo Tic Tac

The Artist
Enzo will be representing France this year and will be the first male artist for France since 2004.

Enzo was born in 2008 and is a self-described lifelong Eurovision fan, having watched the Contest for as long as he can remember. He has a love of music and travel, and he writes, produces, and edits his own music videos.

The Song

Tic Tac is an upbeat song about savouring every second of life and not wasting time but also living life the way you want and not dictated by others. Tic Tac is completely in French.

The song is written by Alban Lico (who has written songs for Carla - JESC 2019) and Léa Ivanne (French singing teacher).

Tic Tac is currently available on our YouTube and Spotify playlists.

France at JESC

The 2021 contest will be the 5th time France participates since their debut in 2004 and their first time as the host thanks to Valentina’s win with J'imagine last year.

France have found a formula that works and have stuck with it again this year. This song is delightful, catchy and I am quite a fan. Can’t wait to see what they’ve got planned staging wise

Blake: 6/10 ✭✭✭✭✭✭✩✩✩✩

I love a bit of electro swing but this gets a bit repetitive, that said it's still a strong entry and Enzo seems very fun and likeable!

While it can be repetitive - what a hook, what an ear worm, and you’re not going to forget it quickly! France totally understood the assignment and could be looking for another win. Enzo has heaps of charisma and bet on some clocks in the staging in December.

From first listen you know this is a French song. I love the 1920s feel. Enzo is very charismatic and hopefully this will come through on the Junior Eurovision stage. This song feels quite similar to Bim Bam Toi (2019) but very repetitive. But I feel this song is one of the weaker French entries we have seen. Also, I never really understood the message of the song. Something about tic tac and clocks.

I like how it gets into the song immediately. I love the olden theme. This song isn’t amazing though. It’s definitely repetitive, similar to other songs before this and just isn’t that strong. It has a basic song structure, start, chorus, middle, chorus, deep bit (I don’t know how to explain it). It’s fine but I wouldn’t listen to it. I have one pet peeve, instead of tick tock it is called tic tac… I get why but it just reminds me of the mint/candy brand… Overall, this song is pretty basic, repetitive, and weak compared to other entries. I can see the appeal but I dislike it.
