Junior Eurovision 2021 Review - North Macedonia: Dajte Muzika Green Forces

The Artist

North Macedonia’s representatives this year are the children from the television show Dajte Muzika

The show is hugely popular in North Macedonia, and one of the most watched shows in the country. Dajte Muzika is also the first group to ever represent North Macedonia at Junior Eurovision and is made up of cast members Kristina, Anastasija, Miha, and Filip.

The Song

Green Forces is a dance song about the climate crisis facing the world and is a call to action for this generation. It is also in mix of Macedonian and English.

The song is written by Robin Zimbakov with Robert Bilbilov, who have worked with the cast of Dajte Muzika before.

You can find Green Forces on our YouTube and Spotify playlists.

North Macedonia at JESC

This will be the 16th time North Macedonia has taken part at Junior Eurovision. After their debut in 2003, their highest results were 5th in 2007 and 2008: Rosica Kulakova & Dimitar Stojmenovski with Ding Ding Dong, and Bobi Andonov with Prati mi SMS.

Wow, boy have North Macedonia come back with a bang! This song is such s strong contender, and honestly the strongest song they’ve sent in years. It’s a massive bop, it’s got an ethnic sound to it and the harmonies between the four group members work so well together. Ticks all the boxes for me, and if this doesn’t give North Macedonia their best result ever I will be very annoyed.

I love myself an ethnic banger and this certainly doesn't disappoint! It's got a great message plus it's a fantastic singalong song too. This is a serious contender with the right staging!

OOOOOOOOOh this is so good! It’s got a great beat and a great message without being preachy or forcing anything. I can see why these kids are so popular and this production is slick!

Wow! North Macedonia! I did not expect this, but I kind of did. Of late, North Macedonia has sent very well-produced, contemporary entries with very talented artists. Their recent entry ‘Green Forces’ is a mix of traditional and modern elements, which I find very appealing. It is impactful and the message has been clearly conveyed. Normally it is difficult to succeed with groups, but I feel this group will do very well.

Raquel: 7/10 ✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✩✩✩

It’s fine, I like the message, too many video effects, I can see the appeal, I wouldn’t willingly listen to it but if I had to I wouldn’t mind.
