The Artist
Sara James is 12 years old, and won the Polish National Final Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior to earn her ticket to Junior Eurovision. She also won the latest season of The Voice Kids in Poland, had been quite the favourite to take out the National Final since her participation in the competition was revealed.

Sara grew up on the German/Polish border and learned to play piano at age 6. She also loves to cook and look after her guinea pig, Mike.

The Song
Somebody is a soft rock ballad with a dance beat and it’s about always being there for a friend. Somebody is in a mix of Polish and English.
The song was written by Tom Martin and Patryk Kumór (singer/songwriter from Southern Poland).

Somebody can be found on our YouTube and Spotify playlists.

Poland at JESC

2021 will mark the 8th time Poland takes part in Junior Eurovision. Since their debut in 2003, the country has won back to back contests in 2018 and 2019 with Roksana Węgiel’s Anyone I Want to Be, and Superhero by Viki Gabor.

Like I get why other people love this song, but it’s just far too mainstream and far too adult contest for me. It’s a strong song, don’t get me wrong, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it does extremely well, but it’s in the wrong contest.

Potential winner alert! This is just a fun and uplifting banger! I heard the piano and I was sold, Sara's vocals are amazing and so is the production. This is one to watch!

Danie: 8/10 ✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✩✩

Oooooh this is good. Poland is serving again with a real contemporary tune and Sara’s got a fabulous voice. I feel this is another contender for them.

Kurtis: 10/10 ✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✭

Sara and her song Somebody is immediately encapsulating. It feels uplifting and inspiring, and the song is probably the most well-made in the competition. Sara’s vocal ability is unfounded. The song matches Sara perfectly, which is a credit to the song-writing team. Personally, I see Poland having another potential win.

Raquel: 6/10 ✭✭✭✭✭✭✩✩✩✩

It’s very cool! Poland could potentially win but I’m not a huge fan. It’s extremely well made and uplifting!

Average Score: 8.2
